Highlights from the Vogue Business Metaverse Atelier
Showcasing the potential of digital fashion
In their recent article, the Vogue Business team reflected on their recent virtual atelier experience, which featured a hologram interview with designer Gary James McQueen and showcased seven 3D digital fashion pieces. Many of the items were accompanied by designer-narrated audio, which shed some light on the vision behind each piece.

First-ever fashion NFT sale paves way for fresh ecommerce paths
Also highlighted in the article was a world-first; the now-famous ‘Iridescence’ dress, by Fabricant, which was the first-ever recorded sale of a fashion NFT, auctioned for $9,500 in 2019. Displayed in 3D during the event, it threw down the gauntlet for new ways for brands to think about fashion consumption and innovation.
